Remodel: It’s Empty but it’s the Finished Product

The kitchen is done, the kitchen is done. Well at least the construction is done. Mario and his team did finish the overall construction back on Monday, October 1st but all week I’ve been finding little things here and there that needed to be fixed. Take a look at the photos of the finished product. 

We love the kitchen and Michael’s cabinets turned out amazing. Truly we cannot complain. Yes there were delays with the cabinets but honestly we know personally there was a lot going on his life which affected things greatly. In the end we love them and that dark stain Clem was so worried about, he loves it. What I am floored or surprised about is the amount of counter space and storage we have now. It’s insane. 

We haven’t moved anything into the cabinets yet or really started cooking in the kitchen because Tap Plastics is behind on orders and won’t have my order done till next Tuesday. I am having them make clear plastic liners for all of the cabinets. There was one interesting surprise with the counter, after it was installed I noticed this shiny clear trail on the tile. At first I thought it was a snail trail but I noticed it in a few other places. It turned out to be small lines of crystals which illuminate when the under cabinet lighting is on.
