What to Watch: Amazing Stories 1.0 and 2.0

Remember Steven Spielbergs epic tv series in the 1980’s? It’s back and honestly. A huge step up from the original series. Now, don’t get me wrong the original series has some amazing moments in it. From “The Mission”, a WWII episode that started some big names like Kevin Costner, Kiefer Sutherland and Anthony LaPagila to my personal favorite, Mummy Daddy! The show was built on the classic comic book series by the same name of the series. The original series was not a huge success in the ratings but certainly maintained a cult following. Apple paired up with Spielberg and relaunched the series with all new story lines. 

So far the show has aired 5 new episodes on Apple+ service and they really have hit it out of the park. The first episode is certainly a bag of mixed emotions with a time traveling love story that really blew the box apart. It was an episode filled with raw emotion. Even my kids were emotional with the episode. Overall it was a great start to a series, we were hooked. For the second episode, Spielberg took the series even further with an amazing love story and play on death. The series just seems to get more and more amazing. The kids fell in love with the second storyline and now with the third episode now available. They hit it out of the ballpark with a great kid episode. The third episode was well worth the wait and the same for 4 and 5. 

Right now it looks like we are in it for the long haul with this shelter in place and this show is perfect for the whole family. We’ve even started to show the kids the old season. Enjoy this great blast from the past. The kids a super hooked and I believe your kids will be as well.
